Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of homebaseinsights.com and the websites operated by Home Base Insights LLC ("Home Base Insights," "we," "us," or "our"), including CrawlSpaceCosts.com, FoundationCosts.com, WellDrillingCosts.com, PoleBarnCosts.com, and PickleballCosts.com (collectively, the "Sites"). By using any of the Sites, you agree to these Terms and any site-specific terms published on an individual Brand Site.

No professional advice

Cost estimates, guides, and articles on the Sites are for informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for a quote from a licensed contractor, legal advice, engineering advice, or any other professional service. Actual project costs vary by location, site conditions, and scope, and you should always obtain written quotes from licensed professionals before making decisions.

Contractor directories

Contractor listings are provided for informational purposes. Inclusion of a contractor in any directory does not constitute an endorsement. We do not verify every detail of every listing in real time, and we are not a party to any agreement you make with a contractor. You are responsible for independently verifying licensing, insurance, and references before hiring.

Quote requests and lead generation

When you submit a quote request, we may share your information with contractors you select so they can contact you with estimates. Use of those contractors, and any resulting contract for services, is solely between you and the contractor.

SMS program

Home Base Insights LLC operates an SMS-based contractor lead-notification program across the following Brand Sites: CrawlSpaceCosts.com, FoundationCosts.com, WellDrillingCosts.com, PoleBarnCosts.com, and PickleballCosts.com. The program sends transactional lead notifications — not marketing broadcasts — to contractors who have expressly opted in. The same disclosures below apply uniformly across every Brand Site that participates in the program.

Who opts in. Only contractors who list their business on one of the Brand Sites. Consumers and homeowners do not receive marketing SMS from Home Base Insights LLC.

How contractors opt in. By completing the "Claim Listing" form (at /claim-listing/ on any Brand Site, e.g. welldrillingcosts.com/claim-listing/) or the "Add Business" form (at /add-business/ on any Brand Site). Both forms display an explicit SMS consent disclosure stating that by submitting the form the contractor agrees to receive lead-notification SMS at the business phone number provided, that message frequency varies, that standard message and data rates may apply, and that they may reply STOP at any time to opt out. SMS consent is not a condition of being listed, and a contractor may list their business without opting in.

What messages contain. Each SMS references a single specific homeowner quote request submitted through the corresponding Brand Site and includes the homeowner's first name, ZIP code, project type, a short description, and a link on the Brand Site to view the full lead. Every message identifies the Brand Site and includes opt-out instructions.

Sample messages.

• "New crawl space lead in 30303 Atlanta GA: John D., encapsulation quote, 1,800 sq ft. View: crawlspacecosts.com/l/abc12345. Reply STOP to opt out."
• "New foundation repair lead in 77002 Houston TX: Mary S., settling concerns, 2,200 sq ft. View: foundationcosts.com/l/xyz67890. Reply STOP to opt out."
• "New pole barn lead in 43215 Columbus OH: Rob T., 40x60 with concrete. View: polebarncosts.com/l/qrs24680. Reply STOP to opt out."

Frequency. Notification frequency varies with homeowner lead volume in the contractor's service area. Typical volume is zero to five notifications per week.

Opting out. Contractors may opt out at any time by replying STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, or END to any lead-notification SMS. Opt-outs are honored immediately and logged. Reply HELP at any time for support, or email info@homebaseinsights.com.

Message and data rates. Standard message and data rates may apply based on the contractor's mobile carrier plan. Home Base Insights LLC does not charge contractors for receiving SMS notifications.

Privacy. Mobile phone numbers and opt-in status are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and are never sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Intellectual property

The Sites, their original content, cost data, calculators, and editorial articles are owned by Home Base Insights LLC and protected by United States and international copyright law. You may share links to our pages and quote short excerpts with attribution. You may not republish substantial portions of our content without written permission.

Third-party links

Our Sites may link to third-party websites. Where a link is an affiliate link (such as links to products on Amazon), we may earn a commission at no cost to you. Affiliate relationships are disclosed on the pages where the links appear.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Sites are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Home Base Insights LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Sites or any contractor services obtained through them.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of organization of Home Base Insights LLC, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in that State.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated "last updated" date.
